Our established and growing Brisbane Civil team is looking for Civil Drafter at an Intermediate to Senior level. Stantec have a strong pipeline of work in the Health, Defence, Land Development (subdivision) and Commercial sectors and are looking for passionate members to join our team.

About the role:

Stantec are currently delivering some of Queensland’s largest hospital and Defence Estate projects along with a variety of commercial, land development, civil infrastructure, and transport projects. We are looking for enthusiastic civil engineers to join our established and growing team.

Stantec have a proven track record of working on some of Queensland’s greatest projects and have a strong pipeline of future work. To date Stantec have been involved in:

• Herston Quarter Re-development Technical Advisors

• Defence Estate Works Program

• Queensland Health Capital Expansion Projects (various new hospitals and expansions)

• Build to Rent (BTR) housing

• Housing Investment Fund advisors

• Parkland Revitalisation and Redevelopments

• Masterplanned Community subdivisions

• Sunshine Coast Hospital Technical Advisors

• Community and Recreational Assets flood recovery programs

This role includes project design and delivery across a range of projects and sectors. Projects range from early concept design and master planning through to detailed design and construction documentation.

Day to day tasks would involve:

• Technical design and documentation utilizing 12d or Civil 3d and AutoCAD as primary packages.

• Design collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, designers and BIM modelers.

• Be responsible for project designs dependent on experience and complexity

• Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants

• Adhere to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures

• Opportunities for site and field work

To be successful for this role you will need:

• Ideally have good technical design background in aspects of civil design including bulk earthworks, roadworks, stormwater, sewer and water network design within reference to Australian Standards and local South East QLD authority standards.

• Experience in design and documentation platforms including 12d, or Civil 3D and AutoCAD

• Experience in stormwater management is preferred including packages such as MUSIC, DRAINS and 12d pit and pipe design.

• A good understanding of Authority application processes
